| 2025 | Lessons learned for a cooperative housing group under a transfer of use agreement |
Districts Spaces |
We share the lessons learned over the last five years in relation to Corriol, a group promoting cooperative housing under a transfer of use agreement, in order to facilitate the progress of the project in the city of Valencia from an inclusive perspective. A document has been produced containing a series of reflections and recommendations grouped into five themes (group management, governance, access to land, affordability and coordination with the ecosystem), which are not intended to be an exhaustive or definitive list, but rather a guide to help Corriol in its journey. This project has been developed within the PERTE ‘Cooperative Housing Ecosystems: Networks of collaboration, innovation and inclusion’. Funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU through the PERTE for the social and care economy. |
| 2025 | Leading figures in cooperative housing under transfer of use agreements |
Districts Spaces |
We defined our portfolio of services related to cooperative housing under transfer of use based on an analysis of 21 leading entities at the national and international level. The services offered by these networks, federations, housing developers and professionals in relation to this type of access to housing are very diverse, but can be grouped into dissemination, research and training, model strengthening, demand activation, supply activation, management, legal, technical-architectural and economic-financial services. After observing the diversity of the complete map and analysing Carpe’s experience, resources and current context, a diagnosis is made to determine the main services on which the entity should focus in order to continue contributing to a model that is committed to the decommodification of housing from the perspective of the social economy. This project has been developed within the PERTE ‘Cooperative Housing Ecosystems: Networks of collaboration, innovation and inclusion’. | 2024 | Climate Shelter Network |
Districts Spaces |
Implementation of the Climate Shelter Network in the city of Valencia. This is a network of public facilities that serve as places of refuge during episodes of high health risk due to high temperatures. They are spaces that have the necessary characteristics to protect citizens from periods of extreme heat. Through visits and work sessions, the network and its activation protocols are created. At the same time, training sessions for workers who provide care in public facilities, communication elements and a monitoring plan for the Climate Shelters are being developed. In collaboration with Fent Estudi Coop. V. and Ordinari Work. Coordinated by the València Clima i Energia Foundation. |
| 2025 | Sustainable Valencia Panel |
Co-design Innovation Participation Spaces |
Design and activation of the sustainable Valencia panel within the framework of the European project URBACT IV ‘Cities for Sustainability Governance’. A collaborative workspace is created, open to the 5 helixes of society, from which to lead the city’s Climate Mission in a cross-cutting manner. The proposal seeks the activation of Collective Intelligence based on open and innovative processes with multi-sectoral involvement for a shared governance of the Mission. The activation strategy is based on the Double Diamond method of co-creation and public innovation developed by the Design Council to design services that respond to people’s needs. |
| 2023 | Study for the promotion of urban masoveria |
Districts Spaces |
Field work and technical study on underused and empty housing in Alzira (Valencia). The aim of evaluating the implementation of housing mobilisation programmes such as masoveria (renovation exchange for rent). The characterisation of the housing and its ownership are defined in order to gain a deeper knowledge of the situation of the building stock and define public policies that enable its mobilisation (from the Public Administration and from private individuals). |
| 2023 | Housing mobilisation against depopulation |
Districts Spaces |
Study for the identification and activation of underused houses in Vall de Almonacid (Castellón). The goal is to attract new residents avoiding depopulation of rural areas. After identifying the empty houses in the town and analysing case studies, the report suggests several actions which could be implemented by the Municipality to promote their activation: from traditional renting to masoveria (renovation exchange for rent). |
| 2023 | Urban regeneration of La Artejuela |
Spaces |
“El camino de la almazara” is the winning project of the CRU VI, which seeks to consolidate and rehabilitate the old olive mill of La Artejuela and its surroundings.
The project is organised around the path that connects the mill with the washing place, the small water reservoir and the rest of the village. Along this trail, the existing constructions are highlighted and small areas are created where people can rest or contemplate the surroundings. It also recovers the interior space of the olive mill with the millstone, and the modern press in the outdoors.
It is planned to reuse local materials: tiles, wood or remains of the mill, which will be integrated into the paving of the path.
“El camino de la almazara” is a minimum proposal, to make an impact only where it is necessary. The aim is not to change the existing space, but to value and preserve it as a community space.

From these hang six sliding panels that modify the configuration of the space, allowing for multiple uses. The materials chosen provide the texture, warmth and light that are optimal for manual practice. In collaboration with Crux Arquitectos. |
