The European EBENTO project aims to develop an integrated digital platform to coordinate and manage energy performance contracts in the building and renovation sector, providing a one-stop shop that responds to the needs of all actors involved.

In order to incorporate the contributions of potential users from the beginning, a co-creation methodology is elaborated under the User Centred Design (UCD) approach, allowing the 4 pilot cities involved to replicate it in their context. The implementation of the methodology is structured in several formats, including focus groups with users/beneficiaries of the energy refurbishment to identify needs and define adapted solutions, and a multi-sector workshop that validates and prioritises EBENTO’s functionalities, establishing a roadmap for the development and improvement of the digital product.

During 2025 and 2026, the tool ‘InPlan: Data-driven Urban Planning’ will be developed to enable decision-making based on indicators of mobility, housing, land, public space, facilities, society, energy, water and waste.

From Carpe we will incorporate specific indicators of citizen participation for the evaluation of urban interventions, and we will coordinate a set of strategic actions aimed at facilitating the collaborative design of InPlan in articulation with the various agents of the ecosystem of the city of Valencia.
