Vides Creuades

2019 - 2020
Orriols, Valencia

An initiative to transform citizen data into urban actions based on the life stories of local residents.

The lack of a sense of belonging in multicultural neighbourhoods is a challenge when it is time to build up community ties. For this, Vides Creuades proposes a methodology that works through circles of trust and allows us to get to discover the invisible stories that exist in our neighbourhoods.

Over the course of two editions, the project has been hosted by Orriols Convive, an association that works in one of the districts of the city of Valencia with the highest percentage of migrant population, which also has an important network of associations that work to promote coexistence and interculturality.

On the project website you can consult the results based on the data collected during the interviews, the urban tours and the collaborative activities, which document different aspects of everyday life in Orriols from the point of view of its residents.
