Terra

Terra is a project promoted by the NGO Arquitectura Sin Fronteras España (Architecture Without Borders Spain), ASFE, and the Territorial College of Architects of Alicante, CTAA. As a result, it offers a platform where you can access a variety of resources (maps, teaching units, a catalogue of initiatives and entities, etc.) to highlight the historic Huerta de Alicante, located in the lower basin of the Monnegre River. The project seeks to mobilise agents from all sectors and municipalities present in the cultural landscape, such as Mutxamel, Sant Joan d’Alacant, El Campello and Alacant.

During 2020 and 2021, the project is working on forming a technical team to promote participatory citizen round tables aimed at carrying out a diagnosis of the Alicante Huerta. It is also working on the configuration, revitalisation and governance of the Ambassador Team, made up of a wide range of entities (environmental associations, professional groups, heritage research and conservation institutes, local councils, etc.). Through various online and face-to-face sessions, work is being done on structuring and articulating a driving force (Ambassador Team). The aim of this group is to work collaboratively to reverse the current situation of the Camp d’Alacant Cultural Landscape, as well as to promote its activation and conservation.
