History of Local Businesses 3F

History Local Businesses 3F is an audiovisual project that collects the voices and experiences of local businesses in the Tres Forques neighbourhood of Valencia. Through a documentary video, shopkeepers from different generations are interviewed to learn about their daily lives, their memories and their perspectives on the future, thus creating a collective narrative of commercial life in the neighbourhood.

The work is carried out through direct contact with the people who run the shops in the area, both long-established and more recent ones, conducting the same interview with all of them to construct a collective narrative. The aim is to explore the neighbourhood’s relationship with its commercial fabric and recognise its essential role in the neighbourhood’s identity.

Commissioned by the Tres Forques–Vara de Quart Neighbourhood and Cultural Association, the project seeks to pay tribute to those who, through their daily work, have kept the spirit of local commerce alive, resisting the changes and economic crises of recent decades.
