A platform for the promotion of urban masoveria as a non-speculative alternative for access to housing.

La Masovera is a platform for connecting people in order to facilitate masoveria (renovation exchange for rent). What is masoveria? It is the agreement whereby one party (owner) gives up the use of their home for a specific period of time in exchange for the other party (masovera) carrying out the agreed repairs.

We are committed to this model because it offers solutions to different problems related to housing:

  1. offers a non-speculative and affordable access to housing
  2. promotes energy-saving renovations
  3. is committed to the rehabilitation of the built heritage
  4. facilitates the adaptation of housing to special needs like accessibility
  5. offers an alternative to renting and buying models

La Masovera is organised as a trans-territorial network to offer support to individuals and organisations in the promotion of masoveria. We also carry out studies for the design and implementation of public strategies that promote rehabilitation and affordable access to housing.
